Insurance brokers

The days of insurance and retirement firms encouraging brokers to secure clients with promises of incentives such as paid holiday trips are now over, the Financial Intermediary Association (FIA) said yesterday.

This was a big departure from the previous practice, where brokers would chase numbers to satisfy targets set by clients. The clients would usually dangle a wide range of incentives such as cash prices or paid foreign trips to get customers on their books.
