Read about the summary of benefits offered under the Classic Motor Insurance Policy.
Content:
The policy provides the following benefits:
- Options to insure vehicles on an agreed value basis.
- Territorial limits extended to Lesotho and Swaziland provided that the vehicle is not outside of South Africa for more than 30 days, consecutive per annual period.
- “Cherished remains Clause”: The policyholder has first option to purchase the salvage in the event of a total loss at 25% of agreed value (or 5% if a vehicle was burned out by fire) provided that the insured vehicle is not underinsured.
- Parts temporarily detached for the purposes of service or repair are insured up to 25% of the agreed value of the vehicle.
- Malicious damage covered, including soft tops and convertible vehicles.
- Windscreen cover: up to sum insured.
- The cost of airfreight/importing replacement parts is automatically covered up to a limit of R 5000.
- Fire extinguishing costs are now covered.
- SASRIA cover is automatically included.
